South Carolina District 1 Representative republican, Nancy Mace, challenged Rep. Jasmine Crocket, Democrat of Texas to a fight. Mace said, "If you want to take it outside, we can do that." Apparently in Beaufort, Berkley, Charleston, Dorchester, and Jasper counties, the statement does not mean challenging someone to a fight. Mace was angered when Jasmine Crocket was discussing Civil rights and Trans rights in a committee meeting. Mace said, on X that to take it outside was not a call to violence. Has anyone noticed how odd the shape is of Nancy SC district? South Carolina’s lawsuit to denied Medicaid funding to Planned Parenthood is heading to the United States Supreme Court. The basis of the lawsuit stems from an executive order by republican Governor McMaster. The EO blocked government funds from going to an organization that provided any abortion services. Governor McMaster was following the republican playbook to destroy Planned Parenthood despite its care for low-income women and children. South Carolina DMV had a computer glitch that did not forward the young peoples request to be registered to the State Election Board. The glitch may have affected 17,000 young people in total. The issue was discovered when young people who had registered to vote at SCDMV noticed their names were not on the voter registration rolls. Many of them re-registered before the registration deadline. The 1896 did not find out until after the voter registration deadline had passed, that SCDMV had not forward their original voter registration request. Republican leadership in South Carolina were pleased with the judge’s ruling. They were sorry about the mistake but felt it was too close to the election to solve a problem the South Carolina government had created.
