Donald Trump, Pete Hegseth, and Hung Cao are preparing to dishonor one of Waco’s most honorable heroes. They are going to not name the aircraft carrier under construction in Virginia after Waco hero Doris “Dorie” Miller. Miller born in Waco, Texas was honored as a hero after his actions during the Pearl Harbor attack by the Japanese. Miller help to rescue many wounded sailors including the captain of the West Virginia. Miller was only allowed to be a cook in the Navy, since he was a black man. During the attack Miller took up firing an anti-aircraft gun and officially shot down a Japanese plane. Eye witness report said the number was between four and six. During the day the Japanese only lost a total of 29 planes. Miller’s feat is even more astounding because he was barred from training on how to use the anti-aircraft gun. Trump and republicans are destroying parts of Big Bend National Park in Texas. Bulldozes have been seen ripping up large sections of the park to build more unneeded physical barriers to stop illegal immigration. Some Texas lawmakers are upset with the move and environmental groups are up in arms. Trump is destroying a natural distinct environment for another low I.Q. waste project. Democrats get more positive polling news in Texas
There is more good polling news for Democrats in Texas. This time it is the Senate race. Democrat James Talarico is leading republican Ken Paxton by 5 percentage points and in a Fox News poll; Talarico is over 50%, which is a key milestone. Paxton for his part continues to believe Texans will vote for any republican no matter their record. Texas voters look to be ready to surprise Paxton. Paxton along with his many issues and his over confidence in republican voters voting for him just because he is a republican. Paxton’s entitlement maybe his down fall.
Texas governor's race is close
The Texas governor’s race is getting very interesting. Polling is showing that Gina Hinojosa, the Democratic state representative, is within the margin of error against republican governor Greg Abbott. Hinojosa has surged over the past weeks as polling is showing her with a 4%-point gain. There are still 10% of undecided voters per the polls. If that is the case, it is a good sign for Hinojosa as any undecided voters could likely go for her, since Abbott is known for his policies as governor. People of Texas you can send a strong message for saving America by voting Abbott out of office.
Congressman Al Green will be in a runoff election for the Texas 18th district seat in Congress as none of the candidates for the seat were able to garner 50% of the vote. Christian Menefee received 46% of the vote and Green received 44%. The two Congressmen were placed in the same district after republican gerrymandering at the request of Donald Trump. The runoff election is scheduled for May 26, 2026. Go vote for the candidate of your choice, but vote.
Texas republican Tony Gonzales finally admitted he lied about not having an affair with a staffer, who later committed suicide because of the trauma the affair had on her life. Gonzales called the affair a mistake and lapse in judgement. Most normal people would call an affair sin. A mistake is something that happens when you did not expect it. Sin is when you willingly commit and act that is wrong. He also said, the affair was a lapse in judgement. Gonzales knew what he was doing wrong and that it would cause pain, but he did it anyway. Gonzales said he takes full responsibility for the affair and has asked God to forgive him. He said, God has forgiven him, but Gonzales can not fix the pain he caused his wife, the staffer and her family. Mr. Gonzales there are consequences for sin, even when forgiven. You do not feel the pain you inflicted, but one day you will have to answer for it.
Texas has denied Muslim schools the right to participate in their private school voucher program that uses public money to fund private and home schools. Texas said, the reason the Muslim schools cannot participate is because they have terrorist links. Texas continues to discriminate against Muslims and continues to make the Muslim religion out to be less than Christian religions. Texas’ voucher program appears to be a tax cut for white parents at the expense of public schools. Young people of Texas this is just wrong in all ways; taking public school money to fund private schools and then denying certain private schools the right to participate in the program. Young people vote out the racist republicans that are ruining Texas.
Democratic Texas Congressman Al Green was escorted out of another State of the Union speech by Donald Trump. This year Green held up a sign that read “Black People Aren’t Apes”. The sign was in reference to Donald Trump and or a white house staffer, posting a video with a clip of the Obama’s having their head posted on ape bodies. The act was completely racist but Donald Trump refused to make any type of apology or find anything wrong. He claimed he did not see the whole clip and a staffer posted it. Al Green has proven again to the world that he will stand up to lawless and morally bankrupt Donald Trump and the republicans.
The Super PAC Fairshake and its $200 million war chest are going after Texas Democratic Congressman Al Green in the upcoming Democratic primary on March 3rd in Texas. It is estimated that the crypto PAC is expected to spend up to $1.5 million to defeat Green. Green has been a outspoken critic of the crypto industry. The huge Fairshake war chest against him and the republicans reshaping his district could be hard for Green to overcome. One thing is for sure Green is a fighter and might overcome the odds. Young people another example of why Citizens United must be repealed. It gives all the power of elections to the rich and powerful.
There are allegations that Texas Congressman, republican Tony Gonzales, had an affair with one of his staffer’s. Although allegations only at this time, there has been evidence produced that appear to confirm the affair took place. The stress from the alleged affair resulted in the suicide of the staffer. Rep. Gonzales had denied the affair but it is getting harder to do, as now republicans are calling for him to resign. Any inappropriate relationships with staffers are prohibited under House rules. This is another example for young women; you need to stay professional around powerful men. You are the ones who will end up hurt or worse off for the rest of your lives.
The Citizens United ruling by the Supreme Court has turned America into a country where the rich and powerful simply give a big check to a candidate they want to win. Justice Alito mouthed that it was not true when President Obama in his State of the Union address said, this opens American politics to the highest bidder. We are now able to confirm that Alito was wrong and Obama was right. The American political system is in such disarray today due to the money of the Citizens United ruling that allowed the rich to buy the candidate of their choice. The big money is not supposed to gain the rich any favors, but again history has proven the rich and their massive amounts of money is being well spent. The latest example of big money buying into an election is in Texas. James Moyer a Texas businessman has given first time State Senate candidate Rhonda Ward a stunning $2 million for her campaign. Ward advised that there were no strings attached to the $2 million donation. Why would Moyer give $2 million to a first time candidate for an office in Texas where the republicans already hold a super majority?
A federal judge has halted Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton from dissolving a Latino voter registration group. The group is the Jolt Initiative which registers young Latinos to vote in Texas and provides empowerment training to help them improve their lives and advance the Latino community. All young people of Texas check out the Jolt Initiative website, https://jolttx.org/ . Paxton and Texas republicans had accused Jolt of registering illegal immigrants. The judge ruled that Paxton and Texas had no proof of their accusations. Paxton and Texas republicans were again going after a minority group to help keep republicans in power.
Democrat Taylor Rehmet defeated his republican opponent in the Texas state Senate District 9 race by 15 percentage points. This is a major victory for Democrat Taylor Rehmet as the district had been held by republican state senator Kelly Hancock who had been named acting state comptroller. This district was won by 17 percentage points by Donald Trump in the 2024 election. Both Donald Trump and Greg Abbott had endorsed Taylor Rehmet’s republican opponent but to no avail. The voters decided they had enough of republican leadership.
Democrat Christian Menefee won Saturday’s runoff election to fill the seat of Sylvester Turner who died in office early in 2025. The seat has been open since March due to a shameless act of Texas governor, Greg Abbott who refused to call for an earlier election. Abbott did not want Democrats from the Texas 18th district to have representation in Congress for nearly a year. Greg Dirty Tricks Abbott will one day face the same harsh treatment he put on the voters of the 18th district. Now that Menefee has won he must now move to a new district due to more dirty moves by the republicans and the Supreme Court. Menefee has been moved to the district that Rep. Al Green now holds. The Supreme Court gave Texas the go ahead to pack all African American voters into as few districts as possible. This move was at the request of Donald Trump to keep the U.S. House in republican hands. The republican party has no shame when it comes to stealing and holding power. Unlike Texas, California fought and won the court case brought against them by the federal government in their attempt to force California to turn over its voter registration information. Texas gave over their voter detailed information to the federal government without any fight. This week a federal judge ruled that California did not have to turn over their detail voter information to the federal government. The judge ruled the request by Donald Trump’s Dept. of Justice was unprecedented and illegal. Governor Gavin Newsom and Secretary of State Shirley Weber protected the voters of California, while Texas Governor republican Greg Abbott sold out his own Texas voters to please Donald Trump. Texas you need to start voting for Democrats as republicans only care about pleasing Donald Trump. It is a shame that a state that puts so much trust in republicans keeps getting burned.

The information provided to Trump includes your name, address, driver’s license number, and the last four digits of the voter social security number. Why would Texas do this to their voters? It boils down to Donald Trump wanted your information and Greg Abbott was willing to give your information even with it being illegal to do so. Donald Trump can now control who gets to vote in Texas. The DOJ claims they are looking to purge the voter rolls of people who could be voting more than once. This is another big lie to go with the so-called stealing of the 2020 election. The information will be used to target non-republican voters and women. These are the groups who will be purged from voter rolls for no other reason than being a minority or a woman. Voters of Texas watch your credit information and you will need to keep checking with the State Election office to be sure you have not been purged from the voter rolls. This is the second time the people of Texas have had their personal information compromised by Donald Trump and the republicans. Let’s not forget about DOGE, they took data that had nothing to do with fraud.

The new map discriminates against black and Hispanic voters by diluting their voting power to allow republicans to gain more seats in Washington. Texas will have to use the map passed by the legislature in 2021 for the 2026 elections. Judge Jeffery Brown, who was appointed by Donald Trump, wrote the public perception is the new map was about politics. There is strong evidence that the new map is racially gerrymandered at the bequest of Donald Trump. Texas now will be appealing to the U.S. Supreme Court to allow the 2025 map to be used in the 2026 election cycle. Texas citizens will soon be able to collect a $100,000 bounty by suing anyone seeking abortion medications in Texas. The bounty can be claimed by suing anyone who manufactures, distributes, mails, or provides abortion medications to or from Texas. There are a few exceptions, where no bounty will be paid. The legislation once signed by Governor, Greg Abbott, will be nearly a total ban on abortions in Texas. It also turns Texas citizens and Texas families against each other. The Texas super majority state legislature has drawn up a new district map to benefit republican candidates in the 2026 election. The new map carves up areas around large Texas cities that normally vote Democratic. The republican plan is to disenfranchise minority voters and gain up to six new republican seats in the next Congress. The republicans stated, the only reason for the new map is to increase republican power and keep control of the House of Representatives in 2026. They believe that the United States Supreme Court recent ruling allowing political gerrymandering gives them cover. The Voting Rights Act does not allow minority voters to be harmed by gerrymandering, but with this Supreme Court, minority voters will be harmed and the Supreme Court does not care. The republican party has no morals and their reckless actions will harm Texas and the country, even republicans. Things done to harm others will come back to harm everyone. The Texas Supreme Court granted Abbott the right to refuse to share public records that Abbott considers highly intimate or embarrassing. Texas should protest King Abbott and all republicans, that consider themselves above the law. The citizens of Texas need to turn Texas blue to restore law and order to the state.
Governor Gregg Abbott has proposed 18 agenda items for the upcoming Special Session of the Texas Legislature. Abbott wants consideration for a Flood Warning System and a Flood Communication system. If the legislature had passed these in earlier sessions, the large loss of life could have been avoided in the recent flash floods. Texas being Texas voted the Warning Systems down in the past. Power seems more important to Texas republicans than the lives of its citizens. Weekend flash flooding in Central Texas has now claimed 119 lives, many of whom were young girls attending Camp Mystic. There are approximately over 170 people still missing. The group took Texas tax dollars to build an 805-mile-long state border wall. The group only built approximately 64 miles of the wall and there are numerous gaps in the part that was built. What real problem could $3 billion have fixed in Texas, Texas will never know. The only good part is Abbott and the republican legislature have dropped plans to spend the other $17 billion to finish the wall. When will Texas tax payers learn to stop voting for republicans?
Texas governor, Greg Abbott, denies black voters of the 18th Texas Congressional district of having their voices heard. Abbott set a special election for November 4, 2025 to fill the vacant seat of Texas Representative Sylvester Turner, who died in office. This delay means there will be no representative for the district until November. Abbott could have called the special election much sooner, but he wanted to ensure the republican agenda would have one less NO vote and the people of the district would have no voice in Congress. Abbott like other republicans do not believe in an afterlife. Their only concerns appear to be the lust of their flesh for power, fame, and money.

The funds were frozen to attack the universities for not following orders from Donald Trump. Pennsylvania’s wrong doing per Trump was over a transgender swimmer. A medical transport plane crashed in northeast Philadelphia claiming 6 lives on the flight and possible people on the ground. The Civil Rights Division of the Justice Department purpose was to protect minorities from discrimination. Under Dhillon leadership the Division will no longer follows it purpose but work actively to not allow discrimination of minorities in America. A group of Montana youth ages 5 to 22 brought a lawsuit against the State over Climate Change. The youth argued that the state did not consider climate change when approving fossil fuel projects. The youth were sucessful with their lawsuit. Julia Olson founder of Our Children Trust brought the lawsuit on behalf of the youth. Olson stated, "this is a huge win for Montana, for youth, for democracy, and for the climate. The State of Montana plans to appeal the decision to the state Supreme Court. January 20th is Martin Luther King Jr. National Holiday. Young people use Dr. King as your example to get active in your future. January 20th is the date of the NCAA Football National Championship game. Notre Dame coach Marcus Freeman could become the first black head coach to be a national champion in the top level of college football. Coach Freeman is a prime example of when all people get a fair chance at a job, they can be successful. A medical transport plane crashed in northeast Philadelphia claiming 6 lives on the flight and possible people on the ground. The cause of the crash is under investigate, but the incident occurred during take off. The 39 Network offers our symphathy to all the framiles and friend of the victims. Donald Trump has nominated Harmeet Dhillon to lead the Civil Rights Division of the Justice Department. Ms Dhillon will follow the Trump plan to eliminate DEI Programs. The Civil Rights Division of the Justice Department purpose was to protect minorities from discrimination. Under Dhillon leadership the Division will no longer follows it purpose but work actively to not allow discrimination of minorities in America. A group of Montana youth ages 5 to 22 brought a lawsuit against the State over Climate Change. The youth argued that the state did not consider climate change when approving fossil fuel projects. The youth were sucessful with their lawsuit. Julia Olson founder of Our Children Trust brought the lawsuit on behalf of the youth. Olson stated, "this is a huge win for Montana, for youth, for democracy, and for the climate. The State of Montana plans to appeal the decision to the state Supreme Court. January 20th is Martin Luther King Jr. National Holiday. Young people use Dr. King as your example to get active in your future. January 20th is the date of the NCAA Football National Championship game. Notre Dame coach Marcus Freeman could become the first black head coach to be a national champion in the top level of college football. Coach Freeman is a prime example of when all people get a fair chance at a job, they can be successful. This is the prime concept of DEI, the best get a shot, not just the connected people who are normally white men. Penn State defeated Louisville University also coach by a woman, Dani Busbomm- Kelly. Another prime example of DEI where the best are given a fair chance to lead.
