Arkansas republicans put on notice
The State of Arkansas has been found guilty of passing laws that diminish the power of the voters. The judge threw out the new state laws that placed restrictions on citizens to gather signatures for ballot initiatives. The League of Women Voters of Arkansas was one of the plaintiffs in the lawsuit. Their victory puts the voters more in charge of Arkansas politics than the GOP led government in Arkansas. The republicans in Arkansas will no longer pass laws that benefit republicans more than regular Arkansas citizens. Hopefully this ruling will open the eyes of Arkansas voters and show them that republicans care more about power than the people of Arkansas.
Arkansas does not have to redraw congressional map
The recent US Supreme Court ruling on gerrymander will not have any effect in Arkansas. Arkansas does not plan to redraw their map as white republicans already control all four seats in Congress. If there were one majority black district, it certainly would have been dissolved. Arkansas had already dissolved the only majority black district by dividing Little Rock into three republican districts. It would appear Tennessee is following the Arkansas playbook as they will divide Memphis into three republican districts. It is to note that the black population of Arkansas is roughly 15%, yet they are not represented by anyone at the statewide or federal level.
Democrat Alex Holladay defeated republican Bo Renshaw in Arkansas 70th House district special election. Holladay’s win flips a seat that had been republican into a Democratic seat. Holladay’s victory is sending shock waves through the republican party. Arkansas is a republican state despite the many problems it has. The thought that a Democrat could flip a republican held seat, may signal republicans, they need to start listening to the people of Arkansas. Donald Trump and republican tariffs have hit Arkansas farmers extremely hard and caused many of them to go into bankruptcy.
Arkansas is now the only state in America to have not passed Medicaid expansion for new mothers. The measure just passed by Wisconsin will allow low-income new mothers to remain on Medicaid for one year after giving birth and will allow more cancer screenings for at risks new mothers. The current measure in Arkansas only allows the new mothers to remain on expanded Medicaid for two months. New mothers in Arkansas have one of the highest mortality rates in America. Arkansas republicans show that money for poor women is not important, but keeping billionaires happy is important. Women of Arkansas vote out republicans and save the lives of your neighbors, female friends, and relatives.
Donald Trump has betrayed US soybean farmers and left them to die on the plant, while he rewards the country that he allowed to take their markets. Donald Trump and the republicans had given Argentina a 20-billion-dollar bailout, but is now working to up it to 40 billion dollars. This is a slap in the face to American soybean farmers who voted overwhelmingly for Trump. Young people of rural areas in America do not vote like your parents and grandparents. You must see now the republican party does not care about rural America. They speak out for you only to stab you in the back. Had Kamala Harris won the election, you would not be about to lose your farms and medical facilities.
Hallie Shoffner a farmer from Newport Arkansas will seek the Democratic nomination to run for the Senate seat in Arkansas now held by Tom Cotton. Shoffner vows to cut taxes for blue collar workers, restore Medicaid cuts, save Social Security, and cut the deficit. Her platform is aimed at reversing the damage done to Americans by the republican Billionaire Tax Cut Budget Bill passed into law this year. A vote for Hallie will restore the American dream stolen by the Billionaire Tax Cut Bill. There is plenty of time to register to vote and restore value to Arkansas leadership by voting out republicans.
The Democratic Party of Arkansas has a new leader in Retired Army Colonel Marcus Jones. Jones is looking forward to moving Arkansas and the nation forward with Democratic values. Let us do our part as young people and register to vote and then go out and vote. Your vote is your future.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders, republican governor of Arkansas is crying foul with Arkansas insurance carriers. The carriers are proposing a 6% increase in rates for 2026. The main reason for the increase is the Billionaire Tax Cut Budget Bill that Huckabee Sanders and other republicans cheered on its passage. They were all aware that the cuts to Medicaid would cause insurance rates to rise. The rise would not be limited to Medicaid recipients, but all who have health insurance policies. Huckabee Sanders fake outrage is a slap in the face to all Arkansas voters who voted for republicans. Billionaires got tax cuts and average Americans got higher prices and now an increase in insurance rates. Shame on you Huckabee Sanders and all republicans in Arkansas. Republican voters think before blindly voting for a person just because they have an R beside their name.
Arkansas republican Senator John Boozman voted against a Democratic Amendment to stop the government from spending one billion dollars to upgrade the Qatar luxury jet donation for the new Air Force One. The billion dollars of tax payer money to upgrade the jet will be a gift to Donald Trump as he plans to take the plane with him when he leaves office. John Boozman what about the people of Arkansas, maybe you should be a little more concerned about them instead of Donald Trump. Arkansas voters you deserve better, vote Democratic. It is clear the republican politicians in Arkansas no longer care about the people of Arkansas.
Donald Trump has denied federal assistance to Arkansas for damage done by the recent outbreaks of tornados. Arkansas was hard hit with property damage and deaths. Governor Sarah Sanders is appealing the rejection of the needed funds. Donald Trump had denied funding because he felt Arkansas could handle the situation without federal help. Governor Sanders had harsh language for President Joe Biden and the federal government in the past, and bragged about not wanting any help from Washington. Sander’s lack of respect for Joe Biden did not stop him from providing funds to Arkansas when asked. Sander‘s is still respectful to Donald Trump even after he turned her and Arkansas down for needed assistance. Sander’s actions show that she cares more for Donald Trump than the people of Arkansas
Donald Trump continues his never-ending golf vacation at tax payer expense, while tornados and flooding have ravaged the South and Midwest. Trump has failed to address the areas suffering from the disasters. All the affected states voted to send Trump back to the White House in the November 2024 Election. Donald Trump, President, with a heart of stone.

Donald Trump freezes $175 million in federal funding to Pennsylvania University and $400 million in federal funding to Columbia University. The funds were frozen to attack the universities for not following orders from Donald Trump. Pennsylvania’s wrong doing per Trump was over a transgender swimmer. Columbia’s wrong doing was supposedly not protecting Jewish students. Both universities indicate they will make changes that Donald Trump’s federal regulators deem meet his desires.
Donald Trump signs E.O. to shut down the Minority Business Development Agency. The agency was created in 1969 by President, Richard Nixon, to promote the growth and global competitiveness of Minority Business Enterprises. This is another example of Donald Trump and the republican party destroying anything that might benefit minorities and women
