State Senator Cleo Fields wins the new redraw 6th Congressional District in the Novermber 2024 election. Congratulations to Mr. Fields and the young people of Louisiana.
Democrats drop one seat in State Senate, there are now 11 servicing Democrats not 12.
The United States Supreme Court has determined it will take a new look at the LA 6th Congressional Map that created a second majority black district. The court allowed the use of the new map for the 2024 election, but now plans a new review after two new cases came before the court. The new ruling will have a major inpact on voting rights because the ruling will apply to voting rights across the America. Will the court continue to assault voting rights or will they vote for fairness.

Political Statement of Elected Officials
House Speaker, Mike Johnson vowed to take a hard look at repealing the CHIPs Act, if Donald Trump wins the presidentail election and Republicians retain control of the US House. Johnson later walked back the threat to American jobs, but can he and the republicans be trusted.
House Speaker, Mike Johnson, of Louisiana has vowed to take a blow torch to the Affordable Care Act if Donald Trump is elected president on Tuesday, November 5th. Johnson did not state his plan as to how Americans would get medical coverage in the future.
Rep. Clay Higgins from Louisiana 3rd Congressional District attacks and demeans legal Haitians immigrants in Springfield, OH. He knows his words are lies aimed to do harms to dark skinned people. Louisiana will likely elect him again as there seems to be no consequences for Republicians when demeaning people of color. His quote is below:
Lol. These Haitians are wild,” Eating pets, vudu [sic], nastiest country in the western hemisphere, cults, slapstick gangsters, but damned if they don’t feel all sophisticated now, filing charges against our President and VP.”
If you didn’t know, immigration paperwork is lengthy and expensive, which some might also describe as sophisticated.
“All these thugs better get their mind right and their ass out of our country before January 20th,” Higgins concluded, noting the day the next U.S. president will be sworn into office. Higgins was advising the harm that would come to the Haititans when Don Trump is elected President of the United States again. You can be law abiding and legal but if your skin color is dark. There will be a price to pay.
